Summary:
Charlotte's web: Fern is a young farm girl who rescues the runt, Wilbur. Wilbur the pig is saved from certain death and Fern visits him every day at her Uncle Homer's farm. But it's Wilbur's friendship with Charlotte the spider that ultimately saves him from the "smoke house." Charlotte's talent for weaving praiseworthy words about Wilbur into her web turns the Zuckerman farm into a tourist attraction. Curious George: Ted, an earnest guide at the Bloomsberry Museum, discovers that the museum is losing money and he's about to be out of a job. So he heads to Africa in search of the ancient, long-lost, gigantic idol Zagawa. To his chagrin, the statue turns out to be tiny. Ted's hopes of saving the museum and impressing Maggie--the elementary school teacher of his dreams--with a grand new acquisition are dashed. Unbeknownst to Ted, the curious monkey he befriended has stowed away and followed him home to the big city. Now, Ted needs to save the museum and figure out what to do with George. It's going to be a long week. Ferdinand: After Ferdinand, a bull with a big heart, is mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are taken in by a series of oddball relatives and others after their wealthy parents are killed in a fire. The first to take them in is the dastardly and cunning Count Olaf, who is only interested in their inheritance. Mr. Popper's penguins: Tom Popper, a successful businessman who's clueless when it comes to the really important things in life, until he inherits six 'adorable' penguins, each with its own unique personality. Soon Tom's rambunctious roommates turn his swank New York apartment into a snowy winter wonderland, and the rest of his world upside-down.
