Summary:
The late Lionel Halloran's wife Maryjane maintains that his mother Orianna--who stands to inherit the family home--murdered him by pushing him down the stairs. Orianna immediately takes control of the house its occupants. But household members begin to have visions about the end of the world, which comes to pass at least for Orianna, whose dead body is discovered on the landing.
