A raw and honest look at women experiencing traumatic blows to their self-image after unexpectedly losing their hair because of Alopecia, Lupus, or chemotherapy. Cancer and autoimmune disproportionately affect young women and women of color. The Director, who lost her hair at a young age, grapples with her own identity and what it means to be authentic. Although they all experience subsequent mental health, relationship, financial, and social impacts, they individually cope and recover from these challenges in dramatically different ways.
