Summary:
Flesh and fury: A gold-digging blonde and a retired fight manager take a deaf-mute boxer under their wing. The boxer is all but unstoppable, but learns the hard way that getting what he wants isn't necessarily a happy ending. The square jungle: A grocery clerk is in danger of losing his girl through lack of career prospects, so he becomes a prizefighter. His copy buddy finances him; an ex-con trains him. Three years later he becomes a challenger for the championship as his old girlfriend re-enters his life and tries to win him back from a predatory blonde. World in my corner: An up-and-coming boxer catches the eye of a wealthy businessman who allows him to train at his estate. The boxer soon falls for the man's daughter, but fears he doesn't have the money to support her in proper style. He decides to work for a crooked promoter, even though this means dropping his honest manager.
