Summary:
Vera is a Russian girl who lives in New York, in an environment a little different from her country. One day she meets a summer field, like the one frequented by her wealthy friends, and she decides to go. However, things will not be as she imagines, and those two weeks in the field could be the worst of her entire life. Get ready! is a very funny graphic novel that hooks the reader from the beginning. The illustrations narrate, in an agile way, Vera's experiences in the summer camp, her anguish and adventures. It is a beautiful graphic novel that shows us the effect of cultural and social differences, tells us about discrimination and shyness, and that there is always an ingenious way to solve problems.
