Summary:
The story of a fifteenth century French peasant girl who rouses a nation and inspires the world with her faith and bravery. Fiercely believing she's directed by God, Joan triumphantly leads an army into battle against the British, who are driven from France. Yet as Joan's influence grows, the king becomes increasingly wary of her power and ultimately betrays her to her death and martyrdom.
