Summary:
Divorcee Sarah Thompson meets William, Duke of Whitfield, while touring Europe on the eve of World War II. They marry and settle in France. When the war ends, Sarah and William buy jewelry from their neighbors to help the rebuilding effort, the beginning of a family jewelry business. When her husband dies and son Phillip moves aggressively to expand his role in the family business, Sarah struggles to control the simmering rivalry between her children, while her daughter Isabelle's husband schemes to get part of the jewelry empire for himself. As Sarah strives to keep the family and business together, a man from her past teaches her that it may be possible to love again.
