Summary:
Two children in a small southern town are thrust into an adult world of racial bigotry and hatred when their lawyer father chooses to defend a black man unjustly accused of raping a white girl. Gregory Peck is a southern small town lawyer who defends a black man falsely accused of rape. His compassionate, but doomed defense costs him many friends, but earns him the admiration of his two children.
