Summary:
"Mazeppa is a story of passion. The exclusive passion that two men have for horses. One wears himself out trying to paint them in movement: the famous 19th century artist, Théodore Géricault. The other prides himself on completely dominating them, Franconi, a horseman that leads a touring company of riders and who is known as "the master." The will of the master to teach Gericault the true nature of a horse and Gericault's appetite to learn is what brings these two men together."--Bartabas website.
