Summary:
Concerns the reactions in the U.S. following the events of September 11, 2000 and the October anthrax scare in which U.S. congressmen and television network personnel received contaminated letters through the mail. Covers the U.S. military activities in Afghanistan against the Taliban and Al-Qaeda forces and concerns about establishing a new government there. Senators Tom Daschle and Hillary Clinton are interviewed and the program ends with news of the worsening Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the recently redefined mission of the U.S. Coast Guard as they try to protects ports, bridges and U.S. coastlines.
