Summary:
This film recounts the history of deep submergence and tells of secret Cold War battles fought miles beneath the ocean's surface. Includes the story of The Trieste, the submersible invented in the 1950's that still holds the deepest dive record for a manned vessel. Also recounts this country's use of underwater equipment to recover a missing bomb off the coast of Spain and the attempt to recover a sunken Soviet submarine.
