Summary:
Prehistoric skulls are unearthed during London Underground excavations and a weird and deadly force makes itself felt. Gradually Quatermass pieces together the evidence that billions of years ago Earth was colonized by a race of satanic Martians who altered the course of human evolution. Finally as the machine begins to emanate a life of its own, Quatermass has to face the menace of a new invasion.
