Summary:
It is the 1970s, and newly minted Scottish doctor Nick Garrigan, driven by an anywhere-but-here restlessness, hightails it out to Uganda looking for adventure and the opportunity to do some real good. In a trice, new-minted dictator Idi Amin--a bit of a nut for all things Scottish--shanghais Nick into being his personal physician. Unfortunately, behind Amin's charmingly charismatic glow, Things Are Going Wrong. What began as comedy ends up as a bad dream, a cautionary tale about the dark corners into which political--and youthful--naiveteĢ can lead.
