Summary:
A young woman from a strict religious community in Scotland marries an earthy outsider who works on an oil rig. When paralyzed in an accident, he asks her to make love to other men and to tell him about it to aid in his recovery. Unwilling at first, she complies with his request because of her true love for him. However, the consequences prove tragic.
