Summary:
Cuando su pueblo natal de Sabinas Hidalgo ya no puede proveer mas que frijoles y torillas, Macario, un campesino mexicano sueña con cruzar la frontera en búsqueda de trabajo y una vida mas digna para su esposa. Nisiquiera la intervención divina podrá salvar a Macario de su destino, como lo indica el titulo de la película.
A Mexican peasant finds himself drawn uncontrollably to thoughts of crossing the border to find work and a more dignified life for his wife. The struggles get harder and he decides to set out on this dangerous journey, guided by faith and determination.
