Summary:
The adventures of Ma and Pa Kettle an impoverished hayseed family. The Egg and I: When newlyweds Bob and Betty start their lives together on an abandoned chicken farm, their neighbors include Ma and Pa Kettle and their fifteen children, as well as the glamorous Harriet Putnam, who appears to have her eye on Bob. -- Ma and Pa Kettle: When Pa wins the grand prize in a tobacco slogan contest, the Kettles move to a completely furnished modern home, and a jealous local busybody tries to make trouble. -- Ma and Pa Kettle Go to Town: After Pa wins a jingle writing contest, Ma and Pa head to New York City, where they become involved with gangsters. -- Ma and Pa Kettle Back on the Farm: Ma and Pa return to the farm to look for uranium, and Ma and Tom Kettle's mother-in-law fight about how their grandchild will be raised.
