Summary:
Even though Billy's dad--Eddie--is a professional animal handler he will not allow Billy to keep Beethoven, a stray St. Bernard, and his puppies, but when the dog star in the movie that Eddie is working for is stolen, the studio picks up Beethoven as a quick replacement.
