Summary:
After leaving her best friend Zahra and her hometown of Anchorage, Alaska upon her parent's divorce three years prior, Ruthie is grieving from the death of her mother and not thrilled to be living with her recently sober father and his family. Upon her return to Anchorage, Ruthie discovers that Zahra has gone missing and she sets about trying to discover what happened. As she delves into Zahara's life, Ruthie discovers that Zahra's not the person she left behind and that may be the reason for her disappearance.
