Summary:
Reporters Ellen and Curt are very much in love, but working at competing newspapers. Curt's not willing to concede that a woman can sniff out news as well as a man, and Ellen refuses to marry him until he does. A nearby apartment fire and a mysterious murder will soon test their investigative skills, and their feelings for each other.
