Summary:
Against her will: Baltimore, 1947. Having just moved with his widowed daughter-in-law and his granddaughter, Harmon joins an old friend in a lucrative but otherwise unrewarding law practice. Pleading cases in Federal Court, Harmon defends an otherwise indefensible woman who was wrongly committed to a mental institution. Simultaneously, Harmon battles to come to terms with the death of his son.
Wounded Heart: Following her estranged father's death, Tracy returns to Texas to fight for the family ranch. Tracy is a driven Wall Street trader with a flair for locating businesses in trouble and a talent for bleeding them dry. Now she must decide if the ranch is only a place of her past or the place where her heart truly lies.
