Summary:
"The open window" is perhaps the best known story by Hector Hugh Munroe (Saki). In it a young girl's descriptive narrative fuels the imagination of her attentive visitor. "Child's play" is based on Saki's shorth story "Sredni Vashtar" and depicts a young boy's struggle for identity amid conflict with his restrictive guardian.
