Summary:
In A, B and C, A new arrival to the village becomes the neighbor of the prisoner. Her story curiously parallels that of his, as her apparently rebellious nature leads her to her first foiled escape bid. Betrayal, deception, and intrigue are just some of the tools used by the Keepers of the Village to obtain what they want. In The General, the Village tests Speed Learn, through which subliminal information makes its way into the minds of television viewers. Villagers, like sheep, begin docily learning everything the General teaches them.
