Summary:
Red ensign: David Barr conceives a radical new ship design to revolutionize the industry. He is ruthless in his determination to build 20 of the ships-- and an equally ruthless rival will stop at nothing to foil him. The phantom light: The disappearance of two lighthouse keepers on the coast of Wales is linked to the specter of a rogue beacon that lures freight ships to their destruction on the rocks. The upturned glass: Married Dr. Michael Joyce falls in love with the mother of a young patient, whose husband is working abroad. They have agreed to end the affair when he is stunned to hear of her death in a mysterious fall.
