Summary:
Dani, a recent widower, flees the Libyan conflict with his one-year old daughter to a small mountain village in Italy where other refugees take him in. Distraught over his wife's death, he finds he can't face raising his daughter and leaves it to the others in the building to do it. Meanwhile, he takes a job as a carpenter's assistant who is also a beekeeper. The old man there lives with his daughter and grandson. They too recently experienced the death of a loved one, the daughter's husband. Michele, the 10-year-old grandson befriends Dani and together they bond to work through the changes in their lives.
