Biography of filmmaker, George Stevens, 1904-1975, which contains excerpts from many of the films he directed including Gunga Din, Woman of the year, A Place in the sun, Shane and Giant, as well as recently discovered color footage he and his unit of Army cameramen shot of the Allied liberation of Europe in World War II. Also includes interviews with fellow directors and with executives and actors who worked with him.
