Summary:
Young Wolf, who leads the Dakota Indians in a series of attacks on settlers, loses a sacred medicine arrow that is the key to an Indian cave of gold. Major Trent and his daughter Barbara, recover it without knowing its value. Renegade Tom Blade aids Young Wolf in his attempts to recover the valuable arrow while secretly seeking the gold for himself. In the midst of all of this, General Custer and army scout Kit Cardigan try to restore the peace. In the final battle, Kit rides with a troop that barely survives a hopeless attempt to reach the ill-fated Custer. He then returns to kill Blade.
