Summary:
Ernest Bliss (Cary Grant), the bored heir of a rich family, is set the task of earning his own living for one year -- a challenge secured by a bet of 50,000 pounds. Then love, in the form of a penurious young woman trapped in an unhappy marriage (played by Mary Brian), tempts Bliss to abandon the bet.
