Summary:
London is abuzz with new life after several tyrannical, repressive Puritan laws are repealed. The ease on morality allows the arts to flourish, but also plunges the city into much debauchery, including a slew of infidelities. However, country wife Margery is locked away in her house by her strict husband soon after their arrival to London. But Margery finds it hard to resist temptation, especially now that Horner, a trickster who feigns impotence, has her in his sites.
