Summary:
This year, the Moore family has high hopes of winning the Cup in the annual sheep herding contest. Their dog, Owd Bob, is up against the reigning champion, Black Wull, owned by the Moore's neighbor, Adam MacAdam. Adam will stop at nothing to hold top honors. When his grandson, David, grows attached to Owd Bob, Adam tries his best to break them apart. He even tries to disqualify Owd Bob from the contest with a slew of dirty tricks. But Adam doesn't know what he's up against, because in County Kenmuir, on the Isle of Man, no man is a match for the bond between a boy and his dog.
