Explores some of the earliest evidence of man in the Pacific Northwest. From excavations around the mouth of the Hoko River which had been a fishing camp site for thousands of years have been recovered many well preserved artifacts indicating the type of life of the people who lived here. Fort Rock Cave site in central Oregon and its evidence of the changing environment in the Pacific Northwest is also discussed.
