Moments before her chartered plane crashes into the treacherous White Mountains of New Hampshire, Kylie O'Rourke sees a raven perched on the plane's wing---as still as death---staring at her with distinctly human eyes. Regaining consciousness in a Boston hospital, Kylie reawakens to a world that has been irrevocably altered. She finds herself haunted by increasingly unnerving memories and visions--of the crash, of the survivors, of the rescuers, and of the raven, which seems to shadow her every move.
