Summary:
On a 4th of July weekend, three barnstorming skydivers arrive to perform in a small Kansas town. It is where the youngest of them grew up, and the group stays with his aunt and uncle. Like in many other tales, the outsiders disturb the complacency of a small town, while the film captures how in the days before the mass media standardized American culture, a skydiving show could be the highlight of everyone's summer. The green lawns, old Victorian houses, and the kids in the high school band won't be changed by the events of the weekend, but the lives of the daredevils will never be the same.
