Summary:
In "Outside the law", Lon Chaney plays dual roles, as a kind-hearted Confucian and also as a murderous underworld figure. The two characters represent light and darkness, weighing upon the conscience of the film's protagonist, Molly, who must choose between them. In "Shadows", Chaney stars as a Chinese laundryman who becomes involved in extortion.
