Summary:
Masterpiece for Bess: Flattered at first that all the other fairies and sparrow men want her to paint their portraits, Bess soon begins to feel overwhelmed and tries to find a way to return to the kind of painting she really wants to do. Prilla and the butterfly lie: After lying to spare a friend's feelings, Prilla, a mainland-visiting, clapping-talent fairy, finds herself spending a day as a butterfly herder, while strange things keep happening to her.
