Summary:
This film compilation features 5 films with no dialogue and the camera is always static. Messages centers on the theme of children's perception of the world. Prelude is a study of time, memory and actuality that takes place in the filmmaker's backyard. Filter beds examines the site of the disused and overgrown Middlesex Filter Beds in East London. Views from home uses frames accumulated over many days of the filmmaker's own house and neighborhood on Clarence Road in East London. Includes a small artists' book and a specially commissioned essay on children and language by writer and critic Nicholas Tucker.
