Summary:
In the teeming metropolis of Mumbai, four people separated by class and language are drawn together in compelling relationships. Shai, an affluent investment banker on a sabbatical, strikes up an unusual friendship with Munna, a washerman with ambitions of being a Bollywood actor. She has a brief alliance with Arun, a reclusive painter, and finds herself attracted to him. As Shai's relationship with Munna deepens, and Munna finds himself falling in love with her, Arun discovers Yasmin, a young housewife whose secrets unravel him even as they bing love and meaning to his solitary life. As life intersect and inner worlds shift, what stands permanent is the city whose cracks and crevices hold their lies, hopes and dreams.
