Summary:
These twelve episodes follow four Amish and one mennonite as they trade in their simple farm life for a bustling New York City and discover a whole new world waiting out there. From escalators and airplanes to english clothes and tattoos, these five friends are out to experiance everything they've missed from inside their closed community. Whiel they do their best to live out their dreams in a moder world setting, they learn that the world beyond theirs is a complicated and uncompromising place. Tensions rise, romances surface, and they begin to falter without the suport of their families. But will they remain true to their traditions or push through to survive in the new world that awaits.
