Open Theater. The NTSC VHS tapes were played through JVC SR-MV45 captured onto computer via Matrox MX02 LE with Max as Apple ProRes 422 HQ recorded to standard DV video cassette as DVCAM and DVD.
Summary:
The Open Theater, which was originated by the director / actor Joseph Chaikin performs this distinctive production of the creation and fall of man in six episodes by Jean-Claude Van Itallie. "The Serpent" is the only cinematic record available of the work of the now-disbanded Open Theatre and its director. The film concludes with scenes from rehearsals and the production of the Open Theatre's production of "Terminal" (1970). Introduced by discussion of the goals of the Open Theater, led by Chaikin and Sklar.
