Charity Morgan, a beautiful and practical young woman, is forced to leave her Pennsylvania homestead, along with the rest of the community, due to a recession, and as they organize a wagon train to Oregon, plans to utilize the skills of inmate and wagon master Casey Tremayne create tension among everybody involved in the journey.
