Summary:
Myrna Loy and William Powell were known primarily for their heavy dramatic roles until 'The Thin Man' and its sequels set them on a career of comedy. As happily married couple Nick and Nora Charles they offered an unprecedented display of gender equality in characterisations of marriage in Hollywood at the time. Witty and urbane, they set out with their terrier, Asta, to solve various baffling murders. 'Shadow of the thin man' sees Nick come out of retirement to solve a murder at the racetrack.
