Summary:
Niccolo is a middle-aged film director who gets involved with Mavi, un upper class woman. He receives anonymous threats to terminate the relationship, which he ignores. Before long, Mavi moves away without telling Niccolo. He then becomes involved with avant-garde stage actress Ida, but after she informs him that she is pregnant by another man, the relationship comes to a halt.
