Summary:
Arrowsmith: A young self-sacrificing doctor travels to the West Indies to treat a plague, and encounters tragedy, based on the novel by Sinclair Lewis Made for each other: Young couple fights ill health, financial problems, and meddling in-laws during the first rocky years of their marriage. Marty: Story of a 34-year-old Bronx butcher who fears that he will never find love, but at a Saturday night dance he meets a lonely schoolteacher with similar fears. Lilies of the field: free spirited ex G.I. stumbles upon five German refugee nuns in Arizona and helps them build a chapel.
