Summary:
This volume offers a selection of tales of seventeen Peruvian writers born after 1970 and who currently live in the United States or have lived in this country for long periods. If at some point these stories coincide, it is in pointing out the crisis, not to say the bankruptcy, of the "American dream," a myth of peace, freedom and prosperity that guide today the odyssey of thousands of Peruvian, Latin American and worldwide migrants. The authors hope the book is a way to build bridges "between the literature that is produced within the national territory and that born outside its borders."
