Merrow Shawe lives in her a small farm on the coast of northern California with her family. One day Amir arrives, a boy tossed about from India to New York City and now to Horseshoe Cliff to stay with her family. As he and Merrow grow, so does their love. But when tragedy strikes, Merrow is forced to question whether Amir is the person she believed him to be.
