The text is set in ITC Bookman, the commentary in Bitstream Zapf Calligraphic 8012, and the title and half-title in Americana. Library's copy is number 2 and signed by the artist. IaU Limited edition of 10 numbered copies, with only 2 produced; the artist details in the colophon that the changes in computer programs, the printer, and the handmade paper at the time made it impossible to produce the remaining copies. A prototype binding of the first chapter was exhibited at the Zabriskie Gallery, New York, in 1988, and at the artist's retrospective held by HarperCollins, New York, Apr. 1992.
