Summary:
Knowledge is the beginning tells the story of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, a Seville, Spain-based project set up by Israeli-Argentine musician and conductor Daniel Barenboim and his friend the Palestinian philologist Edward Said. Shows how the orchestra brings young Arabs and Jews from the Middle East together to perform and live side by side. The Ramallah concert presents a performance that the orchestra gave in Ramallah in the West Bank despite substantial security and political challenges.
