Summary:
At the heart of the film is the story of Kerry O'Shea, an Irish-American medical student who finds himself inextricably involved in the war. When his buddy is shot, Dr. Lenihan, Kerry's professor, is called in, and it is then that Kerry learns of Lenihan's secret life as leader of a group of Irish guerillas. Torn between his contempt for war and his loyalty to his heritage, he soon finds himself faced with the decision to join the fight or return to America.
