Shay Dixon visits her estranged mother, Nona, and discovers that the drunk, absentee mother she remembers has been replaced by a sober, caring woman with a toddler, and Shay soon begins to realize that she can have a second chance at the mother-daughter bond she always wanted, until a crisis strikes that threatens to destroy the bond they have built.
