Summary:
An adorable puppy, Bailey, runs off while his family is moving and ends up at an exotic animal ranch. Even though Bailey earns his place at the ranch, he continues to wonder, will he ever see his family again? Lassie stars as Shep, a collie with undying loyalty to prospector Jonathan Harvey (Paul Kelly) and young Tommy Blake (Gary Gray), amidst the unspoiled natural wonders of the Old West. Jonathan discovers gold up in the mountains and returns to town, only to learn that after bringing Lin Taylor (Bruce Cowling) in as their partner, Tommy's father has died, leaving Martha Blake (Ann Doran) a window. Gradually consumed by greed, Lin kills Jonathan for his share and prisons Shep, but Bald Eagle (Chief Yowlachie) saves her, while Tommy is determined to solve the mystery of Jonathan's disappearance. Marie and Curtis are a young couple who are very much in love and preparing to start a family. But when Curtis has an accident at his construction job, he is left paralyzed and grief stricken about his fate. Meanwhile, Steve, a rambunctious teen, has been causing quite a headache for his mother. Dean Cain, Laurie Holden, Jennifer Tilly. A talking, yes that's right, talking golden retriever named Bailey inherits a billion-dollar estate from his owner Constance Pennington. But the owner's scheming nephew devises a plan to get custody of Bailey and steal the crafty canine's inheritance.
