After being robbed, cowboy Todd Merrill takes a job as an armed guard for the treasure coach which delivers gold from Deadwood to Cheyenne. When the coach is robbed, Todd takes it upon himself to figure out who tipped off the robbers and how it was done since the details had been kept secret. Originally published in 1962.
